Resilience is the capacity to cope with change and continue to evolve in positive ways. Resilience is now a cornerstone concept for managing uncertain futures, it is a way of thinking that can be used from the visionary and strategic level, down the to the day-to-day decision-making and action level. Applying resilience in practice requires an understanding of how the resilience of any system is changing over time, what is causing that change and where and how to intervene to influence its future direction.

We incorporate thinking and practice from across traditional resilience thinking, but also adaptation and transformation, to address change. Over the past 15 years we have developed and undertaken resilience assessments with a large number of organisations at different scales and in different contexts around the world.

Through training, mentoring and collaboration our aim is to build capacity to apply resilience concepts and influence the way people and organisations think about the future and their role in shaping it.
